This is a great little product that can tell you which applicances & gizmos are spinning the electric meter the most. Just by placing my computer & accessories on a separate power strip from the cable modem/router, I was able to eliminate 35W of usage while these items were OFF! I also found out that the CD player, DVD player & VCR were consuming 25W while OFF as well. By making these adjustments, I am able to pay off of the price of the Kill-A-Watt in under a year now that our electric company just raised their rates by 20+%.
As others have mentioned, having a small backup battery & a back light would be helpful. Other than that, this device works as advertised.
